Founded in 1976 as a grassroots rape crisis organization, our work began as a way to fill a service gap in the community. From the start, a 24-hour crisis line staffed by trained volunteers ensured that every call for help was answered.

Today, The Victim Center serves individuals of all ages who are impacted by all types of violent crime. What began as a single-service organization has evolved into a comprehensive trauma-informed center. In addition to continuing to maintain a 24-hour hotline, we also offer crisis response, counseling, advocacy, and prevention education - all at no cost to those we serve.
