This is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. As most of you know Vanessa and I were victims of a terrible and life altering crime over 4 years ago. I will spare you all the details but, to say it threw us in to uncharted and scary territory is an understatement. Vanessa had a victims advocate at the hospital with her to offer support and services. They have been there with us every step of the way through the healing process. Though there is no time line to how long healing takes, there is also no time line to how long The Victim Center will continue to support that healing. They truly have been a godsend for us and continue to be. The most amazing part is that there isn't any cost to the victim.
So, I wanted to do something good to help those that have helped Vanessa, Elena and myself so much. When I found out that the number of clients seeking services from The Victim Center has increased every year since 2013, with a record-setting 4,657 clients across its Children and Adult Services programs in 2019,I knew I had to help.
That's why I created a fundraiser to support The Victim Center Inc. Their campaign to will hope and healing—and you can be a part of it.
