Jeremy Macdonnell's Fundraiser

It's your chance to make a difference!
Soleman? Man, Myth or Legend?
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
My name is Jeremy Macdonnell, and here's just a little about me. I'm a Gemini born in the summer of '69. My folks said I was such an inspiration, a guy wrote a song about that time in history, but I don't know much about that. I believe life's too short not to smile. I believe a work ethic is not a thing of the past. I believe a person is only as good as their word. And I never pass up a hug because one day it will be my last one.
I'm current board member of The Victim Center. The Victim Center is a non-profit organization that provides free of charge counseling, education, other services to victims of violent or sexual crimes. The Victim Center plays a pivotal role in our community, that we all wish, one day would not be needed. But sadly, there will always be a need. Many years ago, I learned that the term "free of charge" did not mean free of cost. That's something I'll always remember. Not only the monetary cost, to provide the services and run the Center, but often overlooked, the emotional cost the staff faces daily. By giving your donations, you impact the victims, and you allow the staff the comfort of knowing they've been given the tools and opportunity needed to succeed. The Dalai Lama once said, if you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito. In my mind there's no better analogy. Every volunteer's time and every dollar raised, impacts a person at The Victim Center. You may not directly see it, but it is felt.
