Help Survivors Heal - One Step, One Dollar at a Time

So many of us carry silent stories or know someone who does. A loved one. A colleague. A friend. For me, the mission The Victim Center holds is personal - for many that I love and care about. That’s why I’m asking for your help today.

The Victim Center provides free, trauma-informed services to children, adults, and families impacted by violent or sexual crime. These include:

• 24-hour crisis response for victims in immediate need
• Individual counseling and therapy for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other traumatic experiences
• Advocacy services to help navigate resources, law enforcement, safety planning, and more
• Prevention education programs that reach thousands of children in our schools
• And most importantly, compassionate support - always at no cost.

I'm personally asking for as many $5 donations as I can get (you are welcome to donate more than $5 though), because even small amounts help provide essential services like counseling, advocacy, and prevention education to people in our community.

Every dollar makes a difference. And if you live in Missouri, donations of $100 or more are eligible for a 70% state tax credit through the Domestic Violence Shelter or Rape Crisis Center tax credit — stretching your generosity even further.
